Where the heck have I been?…my oh my. Well essentially I’ve just been procrastinating, doing anything in my power to avoid the keyboard. Why? Every so often I fall into somewhat of a slump when it comes to blogging. I loose all motivation and decide to take a break. But then I immediately miss it and begin posting randomly. As much as I like to think I don’t compare and judge myself to other bloggers/influencers, unfortunately the sad truth is; it just happens. Souring the whole blogging experience for me. A’las…moving forward, I’ve decided I will still try to post at least once a week, but no-longer put the pressure that I ‘MUST’ post weekly. If I miss a week then ‘hey-ho’. I’d rather miss a week than put out some lukewarm piece of p*** work (excuse my language). That being said, there is a lot of new exciting releases and products that will soon be making an appearance on NO.34 so keep your juicy eyes peeled. Okay lets move on to the actual post…

MontBlanc is a brand I associate with luxury leather goods and stationary (them pens though!), but of course they’re also renowned for their luxurious fragrance house for gents.
MontBlanc Legend (original) has been in my fragrance collection for a number of years and I’m a big fan. Often I’m dubious when brands bring out follow-up fragrances from a classic (a sister fragrance if you will); can it be much different but still hold the name of the original? are they trying to squeeze out every penny of the name, making people buy into the consumerism? Perhaps, however in the case of ‘MontBlanc Legend Spirit’ (released in 2016) it holds many resemblances to the original which I believe earns it’s right to the ‘Legend’ naming, whilst also maintaining a uniqueness which enables it to stand different from the crowd.

Being a fan of all things monochrome and minimalistic it’ll come as no surprise that the MontBlanc packaging is serious ‘goals’ in my eyes. Effortless and classy much like their stationary.
Legend Spirit; encased in an all white glass bottle, topped with the original Legend silver capping and applicator, engraved with MontBlanc detailing. The packaging encompasses the aim for the fragrance ‘timeless & cool’.

Legend Spirit holds everything I look for in a spring/summer fragrance: light, cool, citrus and fresh. With a refreshing mix of bergamot, grapefruit and pink pepper immediately noticeable on first sniff, I’m reminded of fragrances such as “Invictus” or “Abercrombie & Fitch”. Drying down with cool tones of fresh crisp water, light lavender & cardamon, giving me that summer breeze that’s so light and refreshing. Ending with woody notes of soft cashmere, blonde wood, white musk and oak moss, makes this aromatic fragrance perfect for all day wear.

Retailing from a cost as low as (approx.) £26.00 for 30ml up to £93.00 for 200ml, I’d defiantly say this is a WORTH IT fragrance. It’s a fragrance that grabs attention, without being offensive to the nose. A fragrance that needs no thought, you can spritz it on no matter the occasion or situation and know you’re in good hands.
If you’re not a lover of the fresh citrus scents then I’m afraid this one wont be for you; indeed it dries down to musky woods, but the initial sniff is powered by citrus.
