New Year, Not So New Me.

Hello and a Happy New Year to you!

It’s been a little while since I last posted, I’ve had some what of a writer’s block; if you can call it that.

Plus the fact I work in retail, which basically means my soul is owned by the greedy corporate stakeholders that demand I work every hour of everyday during the festive season…YAY! – of course I’m not cynical.

So it’s 2017 and I’m thrilled. 2016 wasn’t the worst year for me personally but it just seemed to be a bleak year for the world, I could list some of the horrendous things that happened last year (it feels weird to say LAST YEAR) but I’d be here all day and this post would be never-ending.

On the other-hand a couple of good things that happened last year: I started NO.34 and its growing everyday, I’ve worked with brands and companies I could have only dreamed of, I connected and made friends with loads of other online influencers, I finally made a decision on what career path I want to go down and of course to finish the year off, myself and my family introduced a new member to the clang…Casper the cutest Dalmatian puppy around. So 2016 definitely had some of those up moments.

With each year comes that feeling of ‘freshness‘ – as if the metaphorical slate is wiped clean and you can start all over. Something that seems to have become a tradition with me; I buy the latest ‘health’ cook book with the aim of changing my nutritional life for GOOD! And each year that cook book sits on my shelf without being read once, of course I’ll look at the glorious pictures, but that’s as far as I go. For 2017 I’m breaking that tradition! NO new cook books for me.

In fact I decided I’m not giving myself any ‘resolutions’ this year. I’m quite content with myself right now, yes of course I’d like to lose some weight and have whiter teeth but that’s just an ongoing feeling I have year in year out.

2017 for me: I like to believe this year I will focus on growing NO.34 and my social platforms, to further support myself financially with this being my second almost ‘part time’ job. I would LOVE to get myself out of the doom and gloom job that is retail and on a path more suited for me and my career ahead, I’d like to keep connecting online with so many great influencer’s, lastly I’d like to go ahead with a positive, creative attitude NOT comparing my work to others.

So yes, it’s a New Year, but not necessarily a NEW me. Just the same old me, trying to do my best going forward.

I hope you all have an AMAZING and REWARDING 2017!

Such a great attitude to have. No need to totally reinvent yourself but there’s always an opportunity to improve and grow. All the best in 2017!
