2017; Politely F**K OFF!

It’s come about that time of year again to spew out the annual non-cycle drivel about new year and the new comings that lay ahead. So F**ck off 2017!

Now let’s be honest 2016 was a terrible year but in many ways 2017 has been so much worse. By god has it not! If one word could sum up 2017; TRUMP. The mere thought of the word makes me feel nauseous. Whether you’re into your politics or not, that word should definitely still have some merit in your feelings.

I can’t be totally cynical about last year, I did complete one of my major goals: I got a NEW job I love! I worked with so many AMAZING brands that I would have never even thought they’d know my name; so that was pretty cool. But other that I feel like I’ve been living through a quarter-life crisis, you know not knowing what I’m doing with my life…and all that usual shit a 23 year old goes through; oh life is so difficult and all that boo-hoo.

So 2018, what we thinking?…well truth be told I’m feeling pretty optimistic and high-spirited about it. I don’t really have a clear plan but I’m excited.

I’ve actually been feeling pretty inspired by many brilliant female creators and writers within the Film & TV industry. So much so it’s making me have all the ‘feels’ about TV and Film that I used to have in my early teens, when I so desperately wanted to work in media production (still a dream of mine). So this year I aim to read more of what these amazing creators are putting out there and let it help push me toward my goals.

2018 is going to be an all-round positive year. We’re not even two weeks into this year and it’s already miles better than 2017: Friends is now available on Netflix in the UK, the #MeToo and #TimesUp campaigns are really making a push forward…of course I can’t not mention that speech from Oprah at the Golden Globes!

So 2018…it’s looking sexy!

I hope you all have an AMAZING 2018, here’s to a year of making fun and exciting content…WHOOP!

I did not work with any brands on this, all my views are 2017 are 100% true and honest, I bloody hated 2017 thats all.
