As I stated in my previous GlamGlow post (here) I have kindly been given basically the whole range to try out and right now seems fitting to talk about the ThirtyMud mask, with it being winter and horribly cold weather. I’m literally sitting right against the radiator in my duvet right now because it’s SO cold, but I LOVE it.
In winter my skin gets that little extra dry, which I find the most odd because it is still oily, like whats that all about?
Anyways because of this sudden rush of dry irritated skin I feel the need to slap on as much moisture as I can, cue the ThirstyMud.
GlamGlow ThirstyMud (50g £39.00) – Click Here.
ThirstyMud is a ‘Hydrating Treatment Masque’ that uses three levels of hydration to rid away the driest of us all. It comes in a 50g can be priced around the £39.00 mark.
Long Term Hydration:
ThirstyMud uses hydration active technologies, providing deep ‘Dewdration’ as GlamGlow call it. With the help of Citric Acid, and Hyaluronic Acid (both amazing ingredients for your skin). You will be provided with long-term hydration as the acids will penetrate deep into your skin.
*In winter I would always recommend picking up some sort of skin care with Hyaluronic acid formulated within, it’ll help you out A LOT!*
For best long-term results of hydration I would recommend using this as an over night mask so it can really sink into your skin.
Medium Term Hydration:
You are provided with medium term hydration from ingredients such as: Botanimoist AMS, Hydraclay & Oat Beta Glucan – all developed with high amounts of H2O that will leave your skin with soft touchable feel.
Short Term Hydration:
ThirstyMud will also give you that instant boost of hydration from ingredients such as: Coconut oil, Orange Blossom Honey, Ginger Root & Ground Olive Leaf. All highly nourishing and moisturising ingredients that will boost your immediate levels of moisture leaving you with a dewy complexion.
How to use:
Use 2-3 times per week or when needed (lots at the moment).
Apply an even layer to cleansed dry skin.
Leave on for 10-20 minutes allowing ThirstyMud to absorb into the skin, wipe off with tissue and massage remaining product into skin or wash-off with water.
For a deeper hydration feel, leave on over night for the formulation to infuse the skin with moisture & wake up with extremely hydrated skin.
It’s also suggested to use after a shave to help irritation, I am yet to try this! But I definitely shall.
Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Peg-8, Peg-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Powder, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Honey (Mel), Allantoin, Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hexylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Polysorbate 60, Menthoxypropanediol, Cetyl Alcohol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Avena Sativa (Oat) Bran Extract, Kaolin, Buteth-3, Trideceth-10, Benzophenone-4, Sodium Benzotriazolyl Butylphenol Sulfonate, Tris (Tetramethylhydroxypiperidinol) Citrate, Tributyl Citrate, Aminomethyl Propanol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Coumarin, Linalool.
Like all the other GlamGlow masks this one comes in a signature jar and unique box specific to ThirstyMud, the mask has a pleasant coconut scent, reminiscent to a hot tropical beach – or so I imagine. But I’m soon reminded where I actually am…a bathroom in the cold North East of England. Life.
I like this mask, it’s easy and a quick way for a boost of hydration. It may not be my favourite mask I own, but it is a nice mask. One thing I really enjoy about all the GlamGlow masks (or masques if you want to be fancaaay) is their ‘instant’ performance even after 10-20 mins.
If you’re having difficulty with your skin drying out in the winter…pick this up, give it a go. For me it’s helped me specifically around my mouth and chin area that seems to be the most effect by the weather changes.
I hope this has helped you on your quest for water quenched skin,
Now be gone my child…
