GlamGlow GravityMud.

Hello again, or just hello; welcome back to where you hear me; or should that be read me, blab on about my musings and thoughts, please enjoy at your own pace…

On my recent travels to the U.S.of.A I of-course had a pit-stop at Sephora – For all those that don’t know, Sephora is basically an up-scale version of the UK Boots, and it’s a-maz-ing.

The store I visited was pretty new: It was all white and shiny, with rows and rows of toiletries and cosmetics. The only thing I didn’t find super appealing was the amount of staff, but not only that, they were very ‘keen’ to help. I mean by all means I love a helpful staff member that knows their shiz, but when you’re in the same store and your asked “can I help you?” every few steps, it can be a tad annoying. That a-side it was an all round great experience and I wish the UK had Sephora. However I do love a Boots points event so…

Unicorn Blood

I picked up quite a few pieces from Sephora, not because I really ‘needed’ them, but because I was on holiday and when on holiday there’s that rule that you can spend your money on things you don’t really ‘need’. Well that’s my rule.

Anyways I picked up the GlamGlow GravityMud mask, however it’s all pearly and mesmerising I think it should’ve been called ‘Unicorn Blood’ but you know whatevs’.

GlamGlow is actually available here in the UK but it’s not super readily available, in-fact I’ve never seen the GravityMud in stores over here – however Esteé Lauder now own GlamGlow and I’ve heard under good authority that’s it’s going to be a lot more accessible very soon, as they’re doing a re-launch here. How EXCITING!?

Moving on…I knew I had to try this mask. Not only because it sounded like a ‘skin goodness’ mask, but because it makes you look like a CHROME ROBOT (yes I’m 22), oh and its a peel-off mask which is SO much easier than the hassle of a wash-off mask (hashtag lazy life).

Application:

As this is a peel-off mask its important to apply a generous layer, otherwise the take-off wont be as easy.

The mask comes with an application brush which is super handy. Because of the viscous sticky consistency (almost like PVA glue) application with hands would be very messy!

Leave the mask on for 20-30 mins, the mask changes colour when drying it’s magical, SLOWLY peel off wen dry! Peeling off too quickly could damage the epidermis.

Wash your face before use and not after, the mask is formulated with GlamGlow’s trademark TEAOXI™ – a mixture of skin loving antioxidants, once the mask is removed these antioxidants will keep on working their magic. Ooolala.

Thoughts:

Okay so I don’t know if this mask gave me sexy contours; mainly because I have NO idea what that/they are. But my skin definitely felt firmer and tightened afterwards. This mask is all about the immediate results, which I can vouch for.

Of course these results wont last for long, but I can see if using this mask 2-3 times a week could help have prolonged effects on the skins firmness.

GravityMud has a sweet melted marshmallow like scent (marshmallow is actually one of the ingredients), I wouldn’t say it’s an offensive scent but if you’re not a lover of sweet scents then you may not be a big fan. However once the mask has dried down the scent is almost undetectable unless purposely sniffing the mask.

Personally I feel like this is a nice indulgent mask to use. Yes it may not be a mask to solve targeted skin ‘issues’; yet it doesn’t claim to do so, what it claims to do is help firm and tighten this skin, which in-fact it does actually do.

Of course for me the BIG selling point is the silvery, metallic, unicorn colour. It’s just so GOD DAMN brilliant!

I have a bunch more mask from GlamGlow which I will be testing out and reviewing so be sure to keep your eyes ‘peeled’ – ha get it!? Peeled.
